‘no telephone to heaven’ feature film, bbc films

Cecile is currently working on her debut feature film, ‘No Telephone to Heaven’, with BBC Films.

Set in a world where immortality is the norm and death is regarded as a conspiracy theory, at a time when only Black people inhabit the Earth, a young boy, Kei, from a wealthy family, discovers he is adopted and has no biological connections to anyone alive. Refusing to brush it under the carpet, Kei embarks on a journey to uncover his true origins but he quickly realizes that discovering where he’s truly from will reveal and dismantle foundational lies that his world is built on, as he faces resistance from powerful figures and beings invested in keeping things the way they are.
